Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. – Ephesians 6:10
DAY 35: “We Will Not Be Shaken”
once knew seems to be morphing into something we barely recognize. But we do not have to be shaken by the pandemic, by violent storms, or by growing civil unrest. Instead we can stand strong, knowing God is not and never will be shaken by changing circumstances.
So how can we keep a firm foundation of faith in these changing times? Psalm 16:8 gives us the fuel we need to move through hard times with both focus and determination. Our first priority is to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord and His direction. When we set Him before us and God lays out our course, we follow in His footsteps to ensure we remain in His perfect will. Next, recognizing He is at our right hand, we know His divine presence is with us, giving us the confidence that we can do all things through Christ. Finally, this verse gives us the determination to keep going. No matter what obstacles we face, our faith will not be moved. With the Lord as our strength, and as the author and finisher of our faith, we run with great confidence. We will meet every hindrance without fear because we are more than conquerors!
Pray that the faith of every believer in America is strengthened and that, no matter the difficulty, we will not be shaken. Pray that God will unite His people across the land to remain steadfast and immovable, firmly planted in His strength and power.
